MYSELF IN A NUTSHELL

I was born in Manila, Philippines but grew up in
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia but now I'm living in Makati.

I am drawn to artistic things and relish creative pursuits.

I love graphic design, books, poetry, music, cinematography and fashion. I have an eccentric, undefinable side.

I am a walking contradiction: I can be reticent and withdrawn one moment, loud and sagacious
the next.

I struggle to understand myself. Self- discovery is an
everyday process for me.

I'm young, fiery and impatient. I'm still trying to figure out what life is all about.

I blog obsessively, design occasionally and write poems to try and make sense of it all.


THE SUPERFICIAL

My name is Chester and I secretly wish I was named after the poet and feminist Simon de Beavour.

I like to read Vogue, Vanity Fair and Time Magazine. I know its a strange combination. The airhead and intellectual arche types within me have not been successfully integrated.

My favourite artists include Manuel Ocampo, Frida Kahlo, Yayoi Kusama, Kara Walker and Mariko Mori. I have a penchant for self portraitist Yasumasa Morimura

I can stare at Rene Magritte's paintings all day.

My favorite graphic design company is MM Paris.

I like weird clothes from brands like Greyhound, Commes des Garcons and Issey Miyake, but I could never wear them. It's like wearing sculpture.

I admire the design and spirit Rei Kawakubo.

I am a Christian and LOVE JESUS because he saved me.

No one comes to my inner sanctum. The whole world waits at the ante-chamber.
